Bramley is the teddy bear of the labrador world – he has an extremely gentle temperament and is a real gentleman. He’s a chunky dog with an outstanding head – a quality which he almost invariably passed on to his progeny.

Bramley is now being pampered in a wonderful new home.  Below are an e-mail and some photographs which the new owners have kindly sent to us.  Bramley typifies the labrador's attitude with small children; he'd had no experience of living with them prior to joining his new family, but they've found him to be extremely gentle, patient and affectionate with their toddler - as can be seen!

FROM THE NEW OWNERS ....

I have never met a labrador who is so gentle and loving and he comes with us everywhere. Our little lad, Thomas, just loves him and Bramley is so gentle with him.  Yesterday I found Bramley lying down with Thomas sat on him, holding on to his collar singing 'horsey, horsey don't you stop'!  Bramley just lay there, all accepting!  It took a while for the notorious labrador greediness to emerge, but now it's there with a vengeance!  He has become very fond of emptying the kitchen bin (which now lives on the worktop most of the time) and we have to be very careful not to leave butter within reach after him eating 2 whole packs from the shopping bags (complete with wrapper) back in January.  He was on a roll that week, puncturing orange juice cartons in the car, eating packets of hot cross buns and my goats cheese baguette! Fortunately, he is easy to forgive!  We have just been on holiday to Norfolk, where he had a wonderful time with loads of walks, rides on steam trains, boat trips and all sorts. He comes with us everywhere!  He loves his walks, particularly over at the park behind our house and our regular walk down across the fields.  He waits patiently for me if I go out (or upstairs!) and spends a lot of evenings sprawled out in the lounge, fast asleep in 'playing dead' position, which always makes us laugh. We are just so pleased that we found him and will be in touch again with more updates in the future.
